Most of my music is at 128 would there be any benefit to upping it to 192 at this stage. Also some tracks sound pretty warbly, even though i ripped them myself from my own collection .Is it just something i have to get used to mp3 crap or can i fix these issues. Should i re-rip them at a higher rate or can my cd-extrator do the same job on the tracks i've already got..

I've experienced very good results from my JBL Creature II speakers attached to my G5. I can't stand 128kps or lower, whether it's MP3 or AAC...I can still hear distortion in the treble. I've had good results from MP3 at 192 kps. That's good enough for me. I don't think I'm ever in an environment quiet enough to hear the difference between MP3 192 and Apple Lossless. Now, if I had some nice noise-cancelling headphones, I suppose I would be re-importing my music collection.
