I am the third out of four people to have the name Adrian Hanft. I live in Evans, Colorado with my wife Betsy and my sons Adrian IV and Camden. My dad, Adrian II, is a sculptor in Wisconsin.
I currently work for Burns Marketing where I design and develop a wide variety things. I used to work for Red Rocket Media Group as creative director. I mainly design websites and specialize in working with WordPress. I cut my teeth at an ad agency called HuebnerPetersen where I worked for over 5 years. I graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where I studied graphic design while getting my hands dirty with wheel-thrown ceramics, photography, printmaking, and painting.
I have been blogging since 2004 and haven’t gotten tired of it yet. I co-founded the graphic design blog, Be A Design Group in March of 2004 with my friend Bennett Holzworth. In its prime I like to believe that it was one of the top design blogs in the world.
I also run a photo blog called Found Photography. It started out as a place to show some of my photography, and has grown into a place where I talk about my growing camera collection. I enjoy the idiosyncrasies of antique cameras, the hackability of toy cameras, and the affordabilty of both. I also like building pinhole cameras, and have found that Legos are an exceptional material for this purpose.
I started Adrian3 as a place where I can talk about things that don’t fit under the umbrella of design or photography. I am looking forward to writing here, and I hope you find your time here enjoyable. Thanks for visiting.
Adrian E. Hanft, III
